Taiwan Ruby Love
Description
Ruby Love is a specialty of the Hualien District on the east coast of Taiwan, renowned for its culture. Here it is mainly produced during the summer months. Young leaves are eaten by small grasshoppers. The leaves then stop growing and curl up. At the same time, the saliva of the grasshopper reacts with the juices of the plant and ultimately leads to a light honey note. A result that is both appetizing and soft in the mouth.
Tasting
A very shapely dark brown oblong leaf with a few copper tips, slightly curled. The strong cup, in bronze-red tones, exudes a scent reminiscent of oolong. Floral notes with a hint of honey and malty touches delight the palate. That's wonderful!
As for the luminous color, we let you admire it, in the photos, a few grams of tea are infused at 75° (we know, it can withstand 85°C ou_cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ 90°C, but we wanted to taste it without waiting too long for it to cool down), in a 20cl porcelain gaiwan, at the end of the 3rd infusion, the Ruby red fades a little to make way for an equally pretty Bronze-Amber-Orange-Yellow color.
And what was our surprise, while the cup was exposed to the sun to be photographed, to see a small ghost in the shape of a heart appear there. Finally, a tea that loves us as much as we love it!😍
