Georgia Black tea Grusinia OP wild
Presentation: Georgia teas (Russian: Grusinia) have a long tradition and were very rare for a long time. We are therefore all the more happy to be able to offer this specialty. Tea has been cultivated and produced in Georgia since the mid-18th century. The basis of culture is Chinese tea plants. Our quality comes from wild tea trees .
Taste: The structure of the leaves appears matt black, long and threadlike with a few tips. The infused leaf is soft on the palate, the brass colored cup, full bodied spicy with a fine fruity note.

Tasting
The structure of pretty leaves picked from wild tea bushes appears beautiful, matt black, long and filiform with a few tips.
We infused at 85° - 3/4g - 20 cl - 4 minutes
1st infusion, after 4 minutes, it smells of cooked, stewed apricot and thyme honey. The taste is true to the smell. The extraordinary texture "is visible", the tea seems velvety, thick. It is soft in the mouth, the cup of brass color, is delicious, round, tasty, fruity, sweet.
The 2nd infusion is just as fragrant, without exuberance, but pleasantly. Something milky on the nose, aromatic "verbena", came to be grafted, and always this beautiful note of fruit which fills the mouth and remains well anchored.
The 3rd infusion reveals a fresh spicy note of Anise seed, zesty lime, smell again of thyme honey. If for this 3rd infusion, the color fades a little, the taste does not leave with it and the texture becomes even more enveloping..
Grusjnjan "The Savage" is actually soft and fluffy like down. It has the smells of wild herbs from its terroir, herbaceous, fruity, aromatic.
His "Qi" acts after a few minutes. It provides a soft heat, the energy circulates.
Technical sheet
In the photos, the tea was infused in a 20 cl earthenware teapot, for about 4g of tea. Duration 4 minutes. The first infusion was a flamboyant orange, then gradually, the color fades, to become very clear according to the number of infusions, but the taste is more and more exquisite.

We discovered this tea at the restaurant L'Assiette. After a fabulous meal, we didn't expect a finale on par with the kitchen. Patrick, recommended this tea to us in the face of our indecision to choose among all those that appeared on the tea menu. He explains, among other things, that it is Nadja who takes care of the tea menu so that she always has surprising things to offer. We didn't see Nadja, but we didn't see her, but her teas are splendid and that's a shame, because we would have liked to congratulate her.
This Georgian tea is a real discovery and a wonder, we all loved it unanimously. Just a small downside, it's just a shame not to be able to buy such a product on the spot. But it's a restaurant, it's already huge to find teas like this. I place an order!
