China Mao Cha Hong
Presentation : Fengqing thousand-year-old tea leaves.
Mao Cha, coming directly from China in Yunnan. The leaves are collected by villagers from wild and ancient trees in the middle of the forest. The leaves of old tea trees have been worked like red tea, which gives a tea just as excellent as its Pu Erh version, but can be more complex and more fruity. In the region where this Mao Cha is produced, there are about 500 thousand-year-old tea plants which are officially listed. All these tea plants produce around 10 kilos of leaves per tree each spring. These tea plants are found on different plots in a forest located at an altitude of between 2000 and 2300 meters. They grow like this in the wild and can reach heights of over 20m. The different families who own hectares of forest with these tea plants only get busy harvesting the leaves.Tasting : From the dry leaves, scents of blond tobacco, honey, chocolate, praline, gingerbread, pastry (sugar pie, baking a cake crust which bakes in the oven) and fruit . The liquor of a luminous "gold" is faithful to the aromas, with in addition fruity notes and a deliciously sweet and fruity flavor. It is a tea which immediately sets the tone for tea time. It will give the perfect balance, if it is tasted with creamy and gourmet cakes (Paris Brest, Saint-Honoré, Religieuse with salted butter caramel etc.), by breaking the fatty side of these pastries.
Note: The Pu Erh Sheng version exists HERE , and is really extraordinary too.

Gorgeous! Hallucinating! I can't say which, between its natural version or this one, is the most surprising. the infusions of these teas are like a candy, I don't have the talent to write down my tasting impressions, but I can at least say that what I drink is fabulous

Very pleasantly surprised, a delight! And what about these nuggets. You can't find such products in street tea shops (not even in big stores), it's quite extraordinary to find them on an e-commerce. Congratulation. The fruity and honeyed notes are greedy and delicate. I highly recommend it and recommend it for gong fu cha tasting!
