Yunnan, in southwest China, is the birthplace of this exceptional quality black tea. This tea is only picked from late March to mid-April and is produced using special production methods. Altitudes of 1,800 to 2,100 m, a natural wooded environment and a cool climate, constitute the basis for the cultivation of this specialty. The large, finely twisted, tobacco-like leaf, with a very high proportion of golden buds, develops a strong, spicy and malty taste. A copper-colored cup, associated with the typical character of Yunnan.
